Asda offers 5,000 nursery customers priority access to delivery slots

Asda has that is has offered its 5,000 nursery customers priority access to grocery delivery slots until the end of summer 2021.
°ϲʹ will be given a “priority pass” which allows them to book delivery slots up to 21 days in advance, with the option to book a recurring, regular slot each week. The supermarket said that this was in recognition of the “vital role that nurseries play in supporting parents” and will continue until the end of August.
The priority passes were already available to care homes and Clinically Extremely Vulnerable customers.
Simon Gregg, vice president of online grocery at Asda, said: “Nurseries provide a vital service to parents across the UK, including many Asda colleagues, who continue to benefit from their support under lockdown. By giving them priority access to slots it will enable them to receive regular grocery deliveries, which makes it possible for them to continue serving communities and carrying out their essential role.”
Asda confirmed to Under 5 that the priority pass offer was available to nursery customers registered with °ϲʹ with a non-residential address.
The Alliance has written to Simon Gregg, urging him to extend this initiative to all °ϲʹ-registered early years provider customers, including childminders.
