DfE launches weekly Covid-19 absence survey
By Rachel Lawler
The Department for Education has launched a new weekly survey to track the impact of Covid-19 on workforce and child absences in the early years sector.
The ‘pulse’ survey is completely anonymous and should take around five minutes to complete.
It will run weekly throughout January and February 2022.
The DfE says that it recognises the huge pressure that early years providers are currently under and realises that many providers will not be able to respond to the weekly surveys. However, it asks providers to respond as and when they can, even if they cannot commit to once a week.
The DfE hopes that this will allow it to gather as much information about the challenges currently facing providers as possible.
The first Covid absence pulse survey is available and will be collecting responses until 23.59 on Wednesday 12 January.
