By Rachel Lawler

Child learning 30 hours survey
The Alliance has launched a asking early years providers to share their experiences of the 30 hours policy.

The survey comes shortly before the one-year anniversary of the scheme鈥檚 launch.

One year anniversary
Open all early years providers, the survey looks at how providers are offering the 30 hours, what impact it has had on their financial sustainability and whether they are planning to change the way they offer it going forward.

The survey results will be used by the Alliance to inform and lobby policymakers as the government prepares to review the first year of the 30 hours policy.

A vital time for the sector
Neil Leitch, chief executive of the Alliance, said: 鈥淲e know that providers get asked to respond to a lot of surveys about the 30 hours 鈥 but with the first year of the policy drawing to a close, now is a vital time for the sector to have its say on how well 鈥 or not 鈥 the scheme has worked in practice so far.

鈥淎s the Department for Education prepares to evaluate the first year of the policy, we want to capture an accurate picture of what is happening on the ground 鈥 which is why it鈥檚 so important that as many providers as possible respond to the survey.

鈥淲e also know that including the voice of parents in these debates is absolutely critical 鈥 as our successful campaign against ratios changes showed 鈥 and so we鈥檒l also be working with key partners to ensure that their views are also heard.鈥

The survey is available to complete . It closes at 5pm on Tuesday 28 August. All individual responses will be strictly anonymous.
