The Early Years Alliance has welcomed confirmation of temporary EYFS changes, recently published by the Department for Education, which include changes to requirements relating to the two-year old progress checks, learning and development, and paediatric first aid. 

Commenting, Neil Leitch chief executive of the Alliance, said:

“We welcome further clarification from the Department for Education on how providers are expected to implement the EYFS during the coronavirus crisis. 

"These are truly unique times and we are pleased that the changes proposed by government take into account the incredibly challenging circumstances providers are operating within, while still ensuring child safety and wellbeing is at the heart of decision-making."
