Alliance announces details of next Connect Roadshow in Bradford

Leading early years membership organisation the Early Years Alliance has announced the details of its next in-person Alliance Connect Roadshow.

The event, entitled, ‘Babies and beyond’ will be held at Fountains Church in Bradford on Monday 4 November 2024, from 9:45am – 4pm, and will focus on celebrating our youngest children, from babies and beyond, and the vital role educators play in supporting this critical part of early development.

The Roadshow will include engaging and interactive practical sessions led by a team of Alliance early years experts on a range of topics including outdoor learning and storytelling.

There will also be inspiring keynote speeches from Alliance CEO Neil Leitch, Alliance early years development manager Richard Knight and Professor Sam Wass, leader of the Baby Development Lab at the University of East London.

Attendees will have the chance to attend two practical workshops

  • Storytelling: sharing stories and rhymes to support early language – where will the adventure take us? Led by Alliance early years development manager Alison Heseltine, this session is dedicated to the joy of storytelling and rhymes, and how early years educators can use these to support children's early communication and language.

  • Outdoor learning for under twosled by Alliance early years development officer Ruth Richardson, this session will outline the many benefits of being outdoors for children birth to two years and consider ways to overcome challenges and barriers that early years providers, and families, face in ensuring that our youngest children are given the same opportunities to explore the outdoors.
